During this immersive experience, you’ll learn how to feed and maintain a sourdough starter, mix and shape dough through its various stages, and score your loaf for beautiful, professional results. Chea will guide you through the differences between wild and commercial yeast, the benefits of organic flours and ancient grains, and the tools and techniques essential for successful sourdough baking.

Participants will leave with a pre-shaped loaf ready to bake at home, a starter kit with care instructions, a sourdough recipe, and a step-by-step guide for mixing and baking. The workshop includes all tools for the day, light refreshments, a bread tasting, AND a delicious farm-to-table lunch! Plus, you’ll have ongoing support from Chea as you continue your sourdough journey.

Chea LaTourette is a passionate baker, educator, and founder of Wildflower Bread Art. With years of experience honing her craft, Chea is dedicated to demystifying the art of sourdough baking and inspiring others to embrace the joy of creating delicious, wholesome bread at home. Her workshops focus on building confidence in fundamental techniques, from maintaining a sourdough starter to mastering shaping, scoring, and baking.

Chea’s approach to baking blends creativity with mindfulness, emphasizing the importance of using high-quality, organic, and ancient grain flours. Cancellation Policy- Any cancellation up to two weeks prior to your event date will be refunded 100%. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received less than 2 weeks before your event start date, however, you may always send a friend in your place if you’re unable to attend. If a class needs to be canceled due to a natural disaster, public health crisis, or other act of nature that will prevent the class from being safely completed, then the attendee that made the booking is eligible to collect a full refund or credit for a future class at Long Table Farm.
